CREATIVE WRITERS GROUP

10.00am- Noon

creative writing groupAs a Creative Writing Group, we have been writing in Hainault since 1986. In that time apart from what we do in our weekly activities we have published five books, a mix of stories and poems.

In 1995 we were asked to write material for a show ‘Gas Mask on My Shoulder’ in which we also took part along with students from Hainault Forest High School.

The culmination of the show was when it was performed in the Veterans Tent in Hyde Park to celebrate the 50th anniversary for the Second World War.

The books we have published are:

  • Thames Side Tales
  • End of the Line
  • So Many Stories
  • So Many More Stories
  • Memories of Hainault
  • Carousel

CAROUSEL
This is the latest book by Hainault Creative Writers and is available by post for £6 incl.pp. from HFCA,100b, Manford Way, Chigwell, Essex, IG7 4DF .

Cheques should be made payable to HFCA.

Copies of these are available in Redbridge Libraries

We were also involved in the production of a book for Redbridge Council. Gas Mask on My Shoulder, the latter being a collaboration by everyone who was in the show.

We are a substantial group with a membership of twelve but newcomers are always welcome and anyone interested in writing only need to call in on the day we get together.

If you have an interest in writing and want to build on it we could be the group for you. Whatever your writing interests may be, if you like to write, come along and see what we are all about.

Being like-minded people, we inspire and learn from each other and have found that working within a group is a good way to improve on whatever ones writing talent may be.

If you have an interest in producing the writing word phone 020 8500 4311 for details.
